Lighting Designer

Olivier Balagna carried on during 15 years the activity of stage director, working almost from  contemporary works, collaborating in particular with the young generation of German dramatic authors. He animated many workshops for actors. He is also the author of dramatic texts, adaptations and translations for the theatre, as for a scenario of short film which was turned in 2007. In parallel, he created many lights for spectacles. At first for the theatre, then for the dance. These last years, after one sabbatical period devoted to the preparation of a doctorate thesis  at the EHESS, he takes part regularly, as lighting designer, technical director and artistic collaborator, at the activity of two contemporary dance companies : The princes de rien, in Paris, and the Company Samuel Mathieu, in Toulouse.
